seed bank recommendations ? really dont trust whats coming out of the shops here in cali and looking for a recommendation on a good legit seed bank
Seems like tons of seed sellers these days but reliability seems very hit and miss. I'm curious what the top reputable genetics vendors are these days.
Heard good things about...
cropkingseeds.com
rocketseeds.com
These two seem to be similar, not sure if same owners or?
seedsman.com
Seems to be a massive source internationally with different availability depending on location. The only issue is I haven't seen a way to sort results to only show those available inset areas, you have to check each item.
But not seen firsthand results of what was produced, only gotten confirmation from a trusted source they delivered and germinations were good.
Peace

bought a bunch of fem seed from pacific seed banks just due to listing old school gens like some of subcools and trainwreck ect but i grew out some of the train last summer and it was not trainwreck i used to grow from clone so not sure what i got ... still have some orig breeder seeds from back in the day .. think i still have some of subcools purple and space jill/queen and other beans from winning contest here and from folks here but have not had any luck popping any of my seed bank after a decade or so .....

Hempdepot.ca is very reliable.
Peakseedsbc has some nice classic selections.
And The Attitude @ cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk is another good choice with the widest variety you're likely to find anywhere.
I think I lost my favorite cross because the seeds are old and I never got around to making F2s, fortunately I've been able to pop even older seeds and get back into seed runs. At least I know a clone is still out there somewhere.

What I do is pop them in either half a paper towel, or alternately, I used to use old towels by cutting them into strips. I add a bit of hydrogen peroxide and a tiny bit of bleach to the water I mist it with in order to prevent mold, and then hang them up inside a plastic snack bag so when they germinate the taproots head down.
I've tried scuffing my old seeds, but didn't have any luck.
Ironically, if I want to grow tomatoes or any non-cannabis plant for that matter, I just direct sow and they come up fine. Cannabis, on the other hand, gets eaten by something and is swarming with nematodes if I go digging to see what happened.
Happily, I found a G13/Genius I can use to remake my Feynman - now with added Bubba Kush.
