At the recommendation of an old, dearly missed, and deceased friend (Claude/Sevens of medpot.net), I placed an order tonight for an Arizer Extreme Q vapourizer with an extra bag kit from vaporizers.ca. Their prices are excellent and their reputation is impeccable, so I figured "why not?"

I've been planning on replacing my long-gone Volcano for a few years now, but it took a while before it percolated up the list of things to be purchased as I've slowly chipped away at that list as money has come available.

Next month I'll order up that blower I've been talking about for the cabinet. It moves over 3 times as much air as the duct fan it'll be replacing. I haven't decided whether I'll order the optional fan speed controller or not. I probably should, otherwise the thing will be howling more loudly than it needs to.

One small step for the perpetually poor, one giant leap for medication with the kind.

No wonder my e-Transfer hasn't been processed yet. I called their 800 number to make sure there isn't a problem, and learned they're closed until Thursday this week.

C'est la vie. Sit and wait. Kill time. Twiddle thumbs. Make puppies...

Aww.. hitting the heart strings with sevens

You'll also find that the blower moves far more than 3 times the air of the duct fan as the rating for it is with no backpressure and the blower is designed specifically for the the job

I hope you find a good price on the equipment. I looked quickly at one of my favourite places and it turns out that they do not ship to your area

Sevens would be happy, I think.

I called vaporizers.ca because I've never made a payment by e-Transfer so I was nervous about it going through. They processed the payment while I was on the phone and said the order should ship this afternoon.

The main thing Sevens would be pleased about is that I won't be smoking my meds any more. He'd be even happier if I got off my duff and quit smoking cigarettes (though he was a victim of that addiction himself.)

Probably not until Wednesday or Thursday. It's no hurry -- I don't have anything to put in it for testing it out anyhow.

Hey Groo,
I've had an Arizer Extreme Q for at least 2 years, maybe 3 now. It gets used weekly. Never any issues. One time a friend broke a piece of glassware, it was easily replaced. There were kits online and local headshops carried the replacement parts. I can't confirm this, but I was told they are locally/Canadian made in the Hamilton-Niagara area.

One of the reasons I ordered from vaporizers.ca is they seem to carry a lot of the parts for them, so I wanted to establish a relationship in case I need to get more parts in the future. I never looked into whether they're Canadian made or not; I was more interested in making sure the place I ordered from had reasonable prices, parts, and a good reputation.

Vaporizers.ca is Canadian and out of Ottawa I believe. They are a husband and wife company very nice folks I met them a few years back at the TY Expo in Toronto. They have great prices and the machine is Canadian made as well. You will love this unit like I love mine. Not too hot and if you can wait for the lower fan speed to fill a bag it is the best vape around, imho.

Out of curiosity what made you choose the Extreme Q over something like a Vapir NO2? Just interested since Im vape shopping now.

Recommendations from a trusted friend. That and the fact that the Extreme Q is about $50 cheaper than the Vapir.

It looks like my package should be in today -- it was processed in Regina last night, so it should be on the truck with this morning's mail.

Typical lazy-assed Canada Post. It was processed in Regina last night around 11PM. The truck leaves around 6AM for a two hour drive here.

But no, they're not going to deliver until TOMORROW.

I must admit it's smaller than I would have expected from the picture. I was expecting it to be about as big as a Volcano, just shaped differently. But it's rather compact.

Sure are a lot of parts in this box.

They didn't send me a big ole bag of weed to try it out with, though. Not even a nug. A package of wild flowers for the potpourri bowl, though. *LOL*

I've got around an ounce of White Lily (lilypad, not lily of the valley[TOXIC]) and a half ounce of Blue Lotus stamens that I've never tried in a vape.

The potpourri was old and stale and had virtually no odour. But I did play around with the different fan speeds and temperatures and stuff. I haven't mounted a bag on any of the mouthpieces yet; I figure there's not much point to unrolling them to take up space until I can actually *use* them.

But, yeah, I'm pretty happy with it. Should serve me just fine.

I particularly like the glass-on-glass connectors vs. the plastic that a volcano uses.

On the first two speed settings for the fan it's also a lot *quieter* than a Volcano.
