If you don't need it to be absolutely light tight then the insulation slab with something in front to hold it in place would suffice just fine.

It would be much easier to manipulate as well, although perhaps more involved to acquire unless you could have it delivered.

it needs to be absolutely light tight ,its going to be my flower room..and if i see one leak.. well ,lets just say i must do things right or i never stop trying to improve it till it perfect..haha i wont sleep till its light tight,, its how my brain works ..

here we are day 14 and the rest are day 7, they look really happy..c4/widowberry and northern lights blue are growing nice.. some are growing kinda slow, the atomic northern lights is really having a rough time of it,there only growing odd deformed leaves.. the herijuana are going extremely slow also, tomorrow they get up potted to 1 gallon,, the bigger 14 day old ones anyways..

so since there's some stragglers and maybe some males i decided to germinate more seeds to keep everything moving along .. im starting Leda Uno and kushberry queen or maybe chocolate rain.. i will start 4 of each in the A.M..

well here we are ,, the girls finally demanded i take their pic..LOL ..no particular order.. ii still didn't get them under the 600, the heat is crazy out here , even under the t5s im just managing to keep my temps vetween 73-80 .. there aall crammed under 5x54w atm, im stiilll may add a few more since there here...

the gnats are are slowing things down abit but nothing to freak out about,you can see the brown leaf edges.. i let a few big freakin spiders in their..lol and all my home brewed/made crap.. but its working kinda sorta..hehe il hit em with neem tomorrow if they ask me nice ...lol

still no major feeds i gave a brew of calmag/seaweed/roots exelurator//silica/cannazym/aussie tonic b1...not really any specific amounts, just a potion..lol

i have everything here to mix my soil but still using just the base mix (promix+ewc)
also i made my way to the ocean the other day, i couldnt help myself i had to fill a bag with seaweed...

the northern lihgts i was worried about are coming back with a vengance...theres 3 leda unos in there now also... i didnt start the chocolate rain,, decided on kushberry queen but none germinated.... so i think thats the universe telling me to start the chocolate rain haha ..
more uppotting to come soon.. 4inch- 1 gallon and 1 gallon- 2 gallons.....

i have a few might be silly questions,,, but i need to know..my supersil is all mixed and cooked ready to use,my plants are currently in 1 gallon of promix and ewc..can i trasplantt them straigght into the mix without them burning ?
1 cuft promix/ewc +1 cup dolomite lime
1/2cup blood meal
1 cup bone meal
1/2cup kelp/seaweed

is there to much N in thee mix for just flowering?
could i get away with flowering the in 2 gallon or go straight for 3?

well there all in 3 gallon pots, ii cant believe i waited this long.. im bad for not uppotting soon enough.. they're all pointing straight for the light no shock at all...hopfully i can get my dooor/plastic up for flowering closet before there ready or i think il have a bunch of trees vegging here with no light tight room to flower in ..lol if i could even get my venting up in my tent i could zip it up and start em there...

i need to find someone i can hire to come in and help me finish them two things and hang my t5s and crap.. i keep bumping em and almost crushed my seedlings the other day and tonight..lol my whole room is spread out on my floor..i have the perfect plan.. just no legs..LMAO .. could be worse tho at least i can use my arms and sorta one hand.. not bad for a quad

there must be some one or organization out in bc/fraser valley that i can pay to do this sort of thing, what do the other handicap ppl do? what takes me days to do, a able bodied person can do in few hrs at most...

Hey JaySun, the two pressing issues are hanging your lights and installing a door.
Is this in a tent or a room? I'm not a tent person, I'd rather make things to suit myself and in your case that's critical.

We should all brain storm and create "The JaySun Grow Room" from scratch,that addresses all your specific needs.

There are a lot of really smart people here at TY, everyone would benefit.

Time to stir up the old brain bucket.

nohib, its a 4x8 closet in a room,,((lights are hanging in it already and inline)) the main room i using for veg,, i need the whole room to move my chair...tthe tent i have up is just in the way,im only using it cause it in the way, im hoping to get it down and it will open up the room...n omore push sticks and hangers to reach pots cause my chair caant go in the tent..

ps. the room has no exhaust either ,, just intake, sits on floor hooked to my AC exhuast i switch between 4" intake fan and AC as needed.. my house smells really strong, i cant even order food no more..lol

for exhuast im thinking just vent the room to my bedroom, through my charcoal filter 1st tho, its huge with a 12" inline ...again just sitting it is..to big to lift..lol

well Jay, if the closets inside a room that isn't used for anything else you can use it as a "lung" room and just exhaust your grow room stuff into it where you would have more room for your filters and odor control, ac etc, and help keep your chair space in grow room but thats secondary to whats mostly needed. All I can say is I hope we can help in some way, my hats off to you Brother, if any of us were closer I know someone here would step up! gotta ask you how much use of arm/hand do you have?

t&g thanx , that was my plan , exhaust the closet into the 10x10 veg room/area,, and scrub the exhaust then dump it in my room to keep the heat for winter...

hmm how mucch arm movement.. well im a c6-7 quad broke my neck.. i cant feel the bottom of my arms/elbows/fore arms etc. or armpits etc..BUT i can feel the top of them.. my left had kinda works. i do everything left handed now,even type with one finger on my left hand its my good side,the right, well its just there to help out once in awhile..lol it sits curled up.. i use my teeth as a third hand lmao.. eg; transplanting,carryng jugs/opening bottles...lol etc you get the picture..i cannot make a fist tho/close my hand all the way...i push my chair manually tho, i balance like a man on a tight rope.LOL with my arms and head.. were i tip my head and arms my body WILL follow..akka humpty dumpty syndrome hehe


ps.yes i been known to eat dirt during transplanting.. hahaha just being honest.. i sacriafice for my girls, they love it tho.. hehe

Yeah, Jay. If you don't mind taking a pic of your area so we can all see what you're dealing with, that would most likely help us figure out a way to help you more quickly and more effectively.

Do you have a carbon scrubber? If you can't scrub the closet you may have to scrub the lung room and vent the air from there until you can install the scrubber inside the 4x8 space.

I bow to you JaySun, your attitude is inspiring.
So we want to get rid of the tent (eventually) and divide the room to provide atleast one light tight area with easy to assemble shelving in both areas. You'll want a work surface. You need 5' for your chair if I remember correctly. So that's 1/2 your room for you and half for your girls. Where's the door, in the corner or in middle of a wall, and window? Oh yea, is this a rental or your own home?
How tall are your plants usually when you move them. Under T5s your plants do not need to be on the floor, maybe we can look at having them up where you can wheel yourself right up to them and reach them easily. So many possibilities...

ok i can get some pics tonight..i need to go eat tho fiirst..yes i have a huge scrubber/ffiltter ,, i have evrything needed to build the perfect room/rooms.. if i had c02 setup i could just seal it up..

Before you go too far, have you put a light in the closet and turned off the lights in the room to see how light tight it is?

yes its llight tight, well if it had a door it would be.. i used it once before with 2000w in it with cool tubes.. since then the whole inside of closet has been wrapped in plastic.. its sealed better than before...

You said you cant even order takeout because of the smell, a fan going out a window moving good air could pull air thru the front door so no scent would be noticeable I believe. Is there a way to go out thru the ceiling with a vent thru the roof.
