    Default Water Cure

im going to note that i have seen water cure threads on this forum, but they are very cluttered.

i water cure for cooking, or if i have no smoke and a crop is tainted for some reason...
i have two methods i will list them in different posts to avoid confusion

i have done both of these methods successfully many times

you can do both of these methods with fresh bud, semi dry bud, dry bud, dry bud
*not with dry bud or bone dry bud** i never tried, i have a different method for rehydration..
and normally stuff only gets bone dry if its ok to smoke.........

    Default method 1

    MATERIALS
    ------------------------------

    mason jar
    water, filtered / ro/ distilled
    tainted cannabis
    paper towels
    fan

*to be hardcore add drying screens and a dehumidifier

    Directions
    ----------------------
fill mason jar 1/2 full of buds
    fill mason jar with water
seal, wait* empty water , **repeat?
    dry**

    WAIT TIME
    -------------------
wait anywhere from 2 hours to 3 days *water should be changed every 8-12 hours..

*if your bud was really tainted , the water will be really discolored or full of dissolved solids
    * if you change/drain the water and it smells and looks clean ..... ??? your guess is as good as mine
** water curing changes the consistancy of the buds the longer they are in the water..
thats what this routine has been optimised for 3 days max, this retains regular bud feeling for smoking, people have done 7 day water cures

    DRYING
    -----------------------
    lay bud onto paper towel
    put paper towel on top
give a LITTLE pressure to start the water wick action, repeat
change the paper towels a few times, until its not soaking them easily
put buds on a fresh paper towel and dry under fan on med/high asap, turning often

    *if your hardcore
put your buds on a drying screen
and place your screens beside a dehumidifier

WHEN THEY ARE DRY ENOUGH TO SMOKE
    ------------------------------------------------------
not bone dry, but dry enough to smoke, and dry when you squeeze it ..
but it in a brown paper bag

this will help get the moisture out of the stems without drying the buds too much

    CANNING
    -----------------------
i can to keep buds fresh for longer term storage
this is the last step orther than smoking or eating

    STORAGE WARNING
    ---------------------------------
    when you can be careful
    treat the buds as fresh
those stems are/were 100% saturated with water
so i would advise to chop them all out, before or after - does not matter

if you dont want to chop out the stems,
you just have to make sure you dry the stems out completely before long term storage
by using the paper bag. just keep checking the bigger pieces

you should never jar something up before you paper bagged it
you should never jar something up and not check it

nothing i say applies to you if your an observant person or a pro
you can make your own decisions

Thank you to all who have tried, failed , documented, conversed politely about this topic in the past
Thank you for your contributions and inspirations, we couldnt have done it without you.

Dont hate me if you dont like the idea,
im just tring to give options to people that need them.

In the future i use this to remove fats and gunk from the plant before i make bho..
it results in a cleaner final product with less steps
