Here is the Headband in the bloom room for about 4 days now.

I know that I took a little longer to get these in the flower room but I really wanted mature plants instead of forcing them to flower.

Nope, if I put anything out it would be the Green Crack or some auto's nothing else is going to finish to anything worth a shit and no need to waste resources.

If I did put something out most likely auto's for a seed run but it may screw many other outdoor gardens so I dunno. Maybe some of the soon to be ready femmed SBR-70's to test them.

Ya for real no one looks out for anyone else these days so good on you for that. I hope that you get those beans made Im lookin forwards to testin them out for you. If they do good in my location. Then shit you could sell them in Siberia cause the weather up here is somthing else. We just got another blizzard two days ago. The kids had a nice long weekend as the schools were closed again for the snow. So Im thinkin that only the automatics are gonna finish for me up here. Hopin that the Texada crosses and Lemon Chunk Shad gave me finish up here also but dont know yet. Gonna have to give em as much sun as I can..K.I.M.

Final seed sex tally on the Med-man Headband is...

1 cracked but I think was to wet and didn't do anything.
    3 were male.
    8 are female.

6 plants were put into 3 gallon smart pots and 3 left in gallons.

    So I have left:

5 plants in three gallon smart pots to bloom.
3 plants left in gallon size plastic pots to bloom.

Damn right it would. I was reading in one thread or another in one forum or another that in some areas the locals will grow male plants and place em on roadsides and feilds to seed any crops that are in the general area to make the growers not want to plant there again. Pollen bombs I think they were called. Assholes eh..K.I.M.

The headband are doing great not much flowering going some stretch but not to bad. I gave them a feeding of AN's Bud Blood powder 2 grams for 5 gallons of water being the first time using it on a first time growing this strain thought better to go lite.

A tip when using bud blood, is to flush the week before flowering. The idea is to reduce the nitrogen content to your plants, nitrogen can prolong the transition from veg to blooming.
When you flip to 12/12 lighting, you feed with bud blood along with your bloom nutrients. I have had bud sites as quick as 3 days but 5 days is more typical. Your plants will fill with more bud sites. You can use it 2 weeks in a row, but I have not seen any benefit unless you have large 3-4 foot plants to begin with.

Note: Whether you use a blooming stimulator or not, this tip will help the transition from veg to bloom.

That is a great tip !

Usually I am pretty aggressive when it comes to building my soil when running the GC so this round I did not add anything to my soil and only watering in veg. The Bud Blood was the first of anything given to them.

Like I said our gonna like it. It did make a difference with my plants very noticably. More good bud sites not them whispy things but solid nuggetry. I did not totally flush my N out of the soil, but am using small pots so I think that helped But next time I will flush before flowerng pretty good before using the Bud Blood...K.I.M.

Went in last night to spend some time with the Headband. They needed to be watered and staked but after I started getting some stakes placed in one I spotted a male flower and after looking over 5 of the eight I had the decision was made to stop looking and cut them all down.

    Unhappy Bummer, man.

    Very sorry to hear that.

I, too, have been the victim of multiple hermies in the past (sadly all from the same seed company) and know the damage they can cause. The first I was able to catch but the second instance ruined an entire crop.

I did the same and destroyed all of my plants from that breeder (DNA Genetics in my case). It was an emotional time because I loved smoking LA Confidential but could't risk any more ruined crops.
I wish it was bong time

The sad thing is that once a seed company gets big and has many, many different strains that quality will sure be soon diminished. They just get too big that they just dont notice or are overworked that they dont realize that they are sending out tainted beans. Then other strains go that way too. There is a few great growers that had hermies with their products also. I also see this new health canada licensed growers system. They will be big and quality will suffer. Few people being blinded by $$$$$$$$$$$ that they dont realize how much work they will have in front of them. And if their personal stuff is already flawed, Well then its not hard to see that this systm will fail. Those companies will go bankrupt and then the weed will be what it is supposed to be LEGAL AND FREE. Then the few good breeders still around will still have to sell their beans and more people will buy them. Watch this joke of a system that is startin will fail, Hopefully it will not even start to get momentum before the pc is out of government and then we can get back to what we realy want, Legal pot. To hell with these licensed facilities. I hope every grower out there will take one or two patients under theirwing and supplythem that will be the only other way to stop it. Well thats my rant, I hate seein growers having to waste their time on flawed genetics. This day and age it should not happen. K.I.M.

I don't think that the Conservative Government ever wanted their new program to succeed. It's set up in such a way that everyone hurts, except the ultra conservative teetotallers who think all weed smokers are horrible criminals.
