    Default Oasis

    Hi Hows it going?
First a thanks to your team that was at the TY expo 2010 in Toronto, Great guys.
I wanted to pick up Ortega beans , but got to your booth to late, sold out. the boys recommended Oasis Fem. 5 beans. I kept them in the fridge butter area till Feb., I wanted to start them for the 2011 season.

I'm in pro mix, under 4x T5s with the humidity dome on , its been 2 weeks and the beans are still sleeping ? WTF

Did I mess up some were? this always worked before?
Can you shine a little light my way?
    Thanks Dusty

I picked up the same strain at the Expo last July. They grew out very nice heavy Indica type. No trouble with germination that I could remember. Hope they sprout for you it is a nice strain for pain.

I pop my beans all the same way. 1 plastic cup filled with pro mix, poke hole in surface, water and wait. Never got into the paper towel method myself. Is it very cold where you have them?

I have them in my grow room on a shelf , with 4 T5 warm white on them. It must be 75F under the humidity dome.
When I do the wet paper I aways forget to keep the paper wet! WTF

Wet paper or J-cloth in a baggie, then you don't have to worry about them drying out.
I keep mine at a solid 86 degrees for germ and have great luck. They do like their toe warm when they come out.

If your seeds are fairly fresh pop em in a cup of unfertilized mix and use less light then you use for normal veg till they show.
Make sure they don't dry out in the cup.

I have done every germ method anyone suggested, mainly because I post almost all my grows, and that is just my thing, research.Anyway I start all my seeds the same way,in my 20 oz cups,in my own organic mix,I keep them in a 75-80 degree dark box, once I can see any part of the plant, they go into my grow room, under the same light they will see for the next 5-6 weeks, great thread
