I love your macro shots, lighting does make a difference. Its been hard to pick a camera up after my bro died in a horrific car accident 2 years ago. I was a good photographer but are now slowly trying to get back in to it. I must say i do love how you have hit the trich's with the light. You should make a collection and make a book... Wow man!

    Salutations DoobieDuck,

I wish i could have seen such nicely detailed snapshots when this program appeared on Radio-Canada a few months ago:

La botanique du désir – Le cannabis (partie 2)

At 2:38 the English voice (in background) was saying « So, in essence what you're seeing is extreme sexual frustration... »

The theory behind this being that the purpose of resin is to capture pollen, if i understood correctly...

Yet, looking at the whisker pictures we can see the THC-producing trichromes around those hairs but this documentary didn't avoid the confusion: instead it took advantage of it, IMO!

    I don't buy that theory

Let' say a pollen grain lands on a trich. Ok so it sits there... Let's say it lands on a broken open gland gushing resin, now it's the fly in the amber.

    Neither case results in pollination.

Pesticide, seed dispersal attractor, physical gumming of mouthparts, burning of mouth, sedation; these all work. The munchies kind of jumps off of that theory though

    Security, Sports and Sex...

Yet public money paid for this sample of, euh... "Biased" information presented on SRC, a propaganda organ serving the crown...

It is in part for that reason i've discovered DoobieDuck's macro-photograph collection with great pleasure.

Thanks for the info Shadimar, As always your a Cannabis encylcopedia.
Im a big fan of the purple strains, Only ever grew on strain that was named purple Auto Purple from Pyramid seeds and it smelled like blueberry juice, very sweet and frosty super dark purple almost black with deep green leaf tips. Cool strain, I would like to try the Purple Pain Killer from Medman or some good ole purple kush. One day.
