Good luck Donna and keep fighting that H1N1. I had a stem cell transplant and I know what it's like to fight these flu - and the H1N1 is a tough one for anyone to fight off.

Sleeping can really help get you over the tough spots with smoking.

So happy to hear that you are feeling better. Wishing you every bit of luck and praying that your willpower is strong, quitting smokes is the hardest thing I have ever (repeatedly) tried to do. Kicked a heroin habit with better results. I honestly believe that the tobacco companies have recently been allowed to add even more addictive qualities to thier products. I am now using Chantix to quit...wishing all who try the best.

Hi there Donna, great to see you back here again. this flu h1n1 sounds like a real dilly eh? I hear a vaccine will be availabe sometime next month. I dread this flu in particular as it appears to hit hard and fast in the respiratory area. I'm glad that I don't smoke cigarettes, anymore, and I think that will be of some help if I get the virus, but I still smoke joints daily. If I get this flu I know I won't be able to smoke, and medicating will have to go on so I'm trying to keep a small supply of cannabutter on hand to make cookies. I don't think I'd even be able to vape if the flu was in my lungs.
anyway, as far as quitting tobacco goes, I've been there and done that. Yes, it can be done. I used Habitrol transdermal patch. I would quit in the Fall and go on the patch.
Come Springtime however, I would start smoking again with the nice weather. Then, Fall again, and I tried again...this went on and on the 3rd attempt I only needed a few
of the 7 g. patches and after all that I broke the cycle and then was able to stay off the ciggy's in all seasons. now it has been almost 14 years tobacco free.

Yeah that H1N1 stuff is pretty nasty, especially if you've already got illnesses bringing down your defenses ahead of time.

Glad to hear you're back out of the hospital. Was just talking to Sevens last night and wondering how you were doing, so it's good timing on the update.
I do not fail -- I succeed at finding out what does not work.
