Default Suggested feeding levels for a pollinated female

Hi folks, recently pollinated a Ken's Grandaddy Purple female with a MrNice Seedbank Black Widow male and since I pollinated the entire plant I was wondering what feeding levels you've used or would suggest. Same as budding plants of the same strain, or is there more, or less I should be using? Thanks.

I'm glad you asked. I think this is an important question. Seed production in some ways is very biologically expensive for the plant. To keep the plant happy certain requirements should be met. The most important impo are 1) amount of light should not be reduced, 2) "Plants producing seed use large amounts of K. Breeding plants can be given K supplements to assure well-developed seed." -MJ growers Handbook Ed Rosenthal, 3) it won't hurt to boost P some too but other wise fertilize as you would any healthy budding plant of the same pheno, 4) besure to water adiquately. In my experience, meeting these requirements will result in happy healthy seed production.

Thinking about how much protein seeds have in them I'd have to say products that supplement amino-acids like big bud might be advisable as well. This is just a guess.

A great question for us all to know as there are many closet breeders here on TY. How long are you going to leave the male plant spewing all over the females ? On the Flodica I did I left the male with the females almost the whole flowering period execpt the first week or two of flower and the last week or two before harvest. I got a ton of seed but I tossed 2-3 cups of unmature seeds away put I also got 3-4 cups of mature seeds.

How about Botanicare's Sweet? Seems like it would be ideal as a non fert supplement. I buy the stuff by the gallon when I can I'm so impressed with it.

That's what I'm going with is Botanicare's PBP Bloom, Liquid Karma, and 'Berry Flavoured' Sweet.
I have alot of AN's Big Bud powder but refuse to use it or any of their product's anymore. They take advantage of legitimate medusers.

I use exactly those as well as Botanicare Hydroplex (PK booster for late flowering stage) and when I can afford it Cal-Mag Plus and Hygrozyme in addition ot my own home brew earthworm casting and bat guano tea plus some liquid seaweed once in a while.

Untill I switched my planting mix I was getting exceptional yields then I switched to a "better" soil mix which was anything but better. For the record I HATE Black Gold All Organic Potting Mix. I'm switching back to my own blend of Powerflower with some extra perlite and earthworm castings.

My own observation is that PBP by itself does not provide enough K.
